Notion Tour (Dashboard & Setup) – How I Organize My Life

I will explain the Notion program.

 

I will show you all the different methods I use Notion to maintain high productivity in my daily life and my university life, and help me work on YouTube and help me personally in organizing almost everything in my life, and when they contacted me Notion and offered me that they wanted to sponsor one of my videos.

This is Notion – and this is what it looks like in front of you all these different sections here on the left and different sections below it. Also, I have my favorites.

 

I put them here for easy access.

 

I put them on The top and with certain symbols in different colors because I believe that the more tidy and beautiful the appearance, the more I want to use it Here.

 

It is divided into three main dashboards, and this is More Life.

 

The part related to my medical studies and everything related to the Faculty of Medicine, and here I have my YouTube dashboard as well, which made my life making and progressing with the video so much easier.

 

Especially this part here Pinned Comments which I’ll go into in more detail later in the video And then finally Work Harder.

 

It’s very advanced and effective for always reminding myself to work harder.

 

It’s really powerful and very useful as a productivity tool.

 

I guess this is where I want to start with Notion.

It’s based on the productivity system that David Allen created in a book called Getting Things Done.

 

The productivity book is in the kind of efficient productivity world that I find myself in and what David says.

 

It is.

 

You need to have five main sections capture notes, clarify, organize, reflect, and share, and that’s what the system is kind of built on.

 

I have here my inbox, your inbox, for any old ideas.

 

It comes and goes throughout the day, Let’s say.

 

I’m on the train, or I’m walking around or in class, and I suddenly remember that I need to do something.

 

I immediately open a Notion on my phone or my iPad or laptop and immediately put it in this box Notion Now. Let me show you How to do this by entering a set of tasks here and then we can work together Now.

 

This could be a normal day in the past and I would have jotted these ideas down in a Notion box, which I would actually pick up and write down Somewhere, Either at home, on the train, or on the bus.

 

Until I finally get to my desk and sit down at my computer and can now take these tasks and data back to organize them more efficiently and easily, For example, you can see these columns here on the right.

 

The first one is Context.

 

Now I can give some context to each of these tasks.

 

The first is to review the side effects of SSRIs.

 

This is something that has to do with medical school, for example, this has to do with medical school.

 

I can do this task at my desk.

 

I can do it with my laptop, and this is a relatively low-energy task, follow-up email for GP status.

 

This is also related to medical school. I can do this on my desk in a smooth way.

 

I need my computer or my phone, For example, something like commenting and subscribing to this video.

 

So it’s very important to focus your energy a lot and make sure you get it done, And I can also use my phone or laptop to do it right.

I can organize my tasks in this very easy way and what I can do at different times of the day in different places on any device.

 

Moreover, Here I have a due date: an eg review of SSRI side effects, and that’s not quite urgent.

 

I could do that today Today or let’s do it tomorrow, Pull this out and put it in tomorrow.

I can put it in this column here, for example, and then at the end of this table, I need to confirm these tasks within the Notion panel.

 

So I have Our three main: projects.

 

Are life administrative funding, medical school, and YouTube? This one here reviews the side effects of SSRIs: it’s meds As soon as I credit it to meds, it disappears from my inbox.

 

So the very important thing about this is that I get all the ideas that I want in my inbox and organize them by going to where they need this, in addition to medical school.

 

This here, for example, is a YouTube-related project and this YouTube also Now, if we scroll down a little bit on my dashboard, you can see that I have several different headings to the Due Now area for the tasks that I selected in the ASAP. These are the tasks I want to do now, checkbox, and they will appear here If, for some reason, I decide I don’t need to do it now.

I can uncheck this checkbox and it will automatically disappear from this area.

 

That’s, the nice thing about this adaptive variable to-do list that changes as it changes, and as I update new different to-dos, we move a little bit to the new area that’s near now, and I’m due to send this table Up soon, so it just shows me the to-dos due here next week, over the next seven days, ie call mommy and daddy.

 

If you decide to change this to next week, more than seven days from now, it will automatically disappear from this area.

 

So this is useful on the weekends when I’m sitting at my computer and looking at what kind of tasks I need to do over the next week, do I have an article? Do I have some emails? Do I have to get ready for an exam, what’s going to happen next week then, if We scrolled down a little bit to the medical school of my life and to my YouTube and these areas house all the tasks related to this project, regardless Of whether they’re due now or very soon, And while I’m working on these tasks, I can check them out and complete them as done once.

 

I click on that finish box.

 

It disappears from this project area and scrolls down to the completed section.

 

If you’re wondering how I’m a full-time, medical student, I have a YouTube channel and a bunch of other things going on in my life.

 

This is how I organize these things. This is how I can keep track of everything I do.

 

I find this program to be very useful.

 

It has completely changed the way I think about my tasks and complete tasks throughout the day.

 

I highly recommend you guys try it out for yourself and apply it in your own life.

 

Now that I’m done focusing on how can I be as efficient and organized as possible, we can move on to some of the more relaxed stuff on Notion and Sabda.

 

With what’s called More Life in Notion, you’re sort of dealing in things called blocks.

 

You’ll see that’s, one block in this inbox, The big tall, one is one block, and with all those blocks you can kind of move it anywhere.

 

If you want, I’ll put it back where it was That way, you get a more customizable workspace for something that I’m taking advantage of.

 

So what you see here at the top is kind of a basic or entry-level version of doing this.

 

Tracker, It’s the one I used before I took this work a little more seriously here. I like this one, because I think it’s very simple and neat and organized.

 

The template is embedded here so that every time I click on this plus sign it creates a new block automatically.

 

This is a to-do list highlighted in a color, a coordinated way for medical school YouTube or administrative tasks.

 

This is also something created by Notion that you can implement these different types of tools that you can’t find anywhere else.

 

For example, if you hit this button here – and you get kind of this long list of different kinds of things you can put here and throughout this video, I’m going to show you a bunch of different things that I use Let’s say.

 

I wanted to create a page here.

 

I could right-click on the page and then this new page would open to that place.

 

I was just at, for example, let’s call this making coffee.

 

I’m going to add a few more emojis just to make it more classy and cute, And if we go back to more life you can see here I created a link to make a drink or a coffee, and if you click on it, it takes Us to that page Previous tasks all day long, I’ve been kind of doing the tasks I want to do here and then, when I come back and sit at my computer, I can move them around And put them in their right places, and I can Organize them where they need to be according to what they need to do now, Sooner or later, if you want to add another to-do list, just click that plus sign – and it automatically creates the green highlighted to do list Amazing thing.

 

Well, it’s a lot easier to do that stronger, as I showed you before, but I think it also has its place and it’s very useful as well And then down the to-do list. I have here kind of anything that I just want to track over long periods and I have the scale to an experienced consumer and here on trial.

 

I have a list of restaurants that either I’ve already done, or I want to go to in the future, and thanks to Alexia To come up with the vast majority of these recommendations.

 

Also about the same for restaurants here in London and the list of movies, I want to see in the future and again this could be organized in a much nicer and neater way as I did with my books and if we look at my books here This Panel right here I have different columns in it for different types of books that I have or about the status of those books.

 

So here on the left, I have recommendations that I got from other people here.

 

I have a list of books that I have personally researched and research that I want to read.

 

Then I have books in progress that I’m currently reading.

 

If we go to the books app on my phone and go to the library, You can see.

 

I finished David Allen, which was the inspiration for this hard work, and then also shooting on the road and Michelle Obama.

 

These are all books I’m currently reading, so they’ll be moved to the in-progress section.

 

So after I finish reading the book, I can simply move it To the end section, and this is a cool way to kind of keep track of all the books. I’ve read what I’m currently working on, and this list of recommendations is perfect because when I finish a book on my commute, I can easily refer to this list.

 

I know what books I want to read in the future.

 

I see That this is very useful.

 

I always think it’s great to see the different books I’ve read and I didn’t start to enjoy reading until much later in my life that’s, why it wasn’t very expensive, but it’s, something I enjoy at the moment Pros Having a panel like this, rather than just a regular list that you might keep in one of the many other notes taking apps.

 

That first helps you organize your information in a very clear way and then add it to the line.

 

So you can see all the different metadata about the information in front of you and for that yeah All of those books could be on a list that says done or not done, but then you, wouldn’t have some kind of filter recommendations from other people That would recommend them and their importance and obviously, that’s kind of important to me, but to you, it could be VERY DIFFERENTLY.

 

You may not want to have a list of books, it could be for you, the Pokemon, you love and the different types of Pokemon, or maybe the different stocks you want to invest in.

 

You can do anything you want whatever your passion is whatever it is.

 

Your hobby, You can use these tools in Notion to organize it in a way that suits you.

 

I also have the same thing for podcasts here: celebrities that I’ve met in the countries that I’ve been to where I organize all this different information, and I already know everything here. On a note, I used to have this on my laptop and different applications and different Word documents and everything are different it’s been Very difficult to see this information at a glance and then, when I needed this information, it was difficult for me To get it, But now that I’m here, I know exactly where it’s immediately accessible.

 

You know some of the things I’ve been tracking for the longest.

 

I think this is the gym I’ve been using.

 

2016 is kind of different muscle groups that I work on different days.

 

I’ve been tracking my weight for a long time too, since 2017, not every single day but every now, and then, when I go to the gym, So it’s really interesting to see these things.

 

I’ve been tracking for long periods when they’ve been pointed out so easily and quickly In the future.

 

I even got my favorite quotes from songs.

 

 

I said at the beginning of this video and I’ll say it again.

 

I just feel like Notation is a great way to get organized in life and then at the bottom.

 

I put a calendar in the way you put it into one of those little lumps. I’ve been talking about it all along Just like the diagonal calendar.

 

In line, it will insert it for you Now.

 

The reason this is blank here is that I intentionally want to keep this calendar as close as possible.

 

I just put here big and very important upcoming deadlines, for example, if I have a test or if I am on vacation or vacation, or if I have an essay on a certain date That’s kind of what I want to put in here.

 

I already have a full calendar of my kind of day-to-day activities, and here I just want to see the really important things coming up luckily, in November I don’t have any of those Well that’s pretty much everything I’ve Got on the board in control of my life here around Notion.

 

I love it.

 

I think it’s fun and helps me organize my days well.

 

The next place I want to touch on is the medical school medical school.

 

I put this nice little banner up here at the top.

 

This is me two years from now and then down here, I’ve organized everything very well. I’m going to show you here At the top.

 

I have these different pages and they have information that I want to review regularly.

 

Now this is a way of communicating and handing important information to the admins.

 

So this is something that I do quite often I’ll tell the admins a lot of patients that I’ve seen.

 

You know I want to get this back quickly and make sure I’m doing it right and I get very good content.

 

The nice part about this is How to keep track of feedback for rewarding patients, Something I must be very familiar with, and a bunch of other pages here.

 

For my studies, I did over the summer.

 

This is every topic in the very, very big first aid book and for each one of these I have a lot of questions that I’ve written for myself and each has an answer hidden under the toggle button.

 

For example, what can be done with panic, or disorder click, Click that switch, and I’ll see Rock City which is SSRI that we talked about before conveniently, how do I introduce those switches again you go to which block you get a slash, and then you Write switch, and so I’ll write the question.

 

For example, let’s say what is cell power. Everyone should be able to answer this answer, and then I can hide the answer mitochondria below this table, and this way this is a way for me to get flashcards within a notation. I can easily and quickly test my knowledge of these different sections and talk about testing my knowledge of the various sections.

This is where I keep track of all my flashcards for my medical school studies.

 

I’m, currently going through the ones I need to do for UK medical schools on Passmed, and so I just completed a Pediatrics group.

 

I have a lot of questions here and tables.

 

You can even hide the tables behind these toggles. To be this useful feature and yeah, like I said now, I’m working in medicine Psycho, so I have a bunch of different questions here.

 

I also have notes on my quality improvement projects, each of the meetings for which I create a new page, and I write my notes there and here on the right.

 

I have a kind of general to-do list of things I want to achieve general things.

 

I want to do well eg exam revision, Neurology and which I’ve done a few times now in psychiatric placement, for example, a review of neurological examinations.

 

This is a mental state test that I’ve taken a few times now on the psychological placement side, and then I’ll delete it now and then, when necessary, to make space here I have this kind of show The gallery, and I made it again by clicking on the slanted gallery, I think it’s called the art gallery, click on it and it opens for you, but basically what I have got here.

 

All the different blocks that I’ll have over years.

 

Four: five years of medical school, I just finished excerpts that I She is currently in psychiatry.

 

Then I also take care of 19 long-term cases, but the cool thing is that on each one of these look at how much information I have here, I click on pediatrics, and then I just got all this info here and each one of these has more Pages that I can click on it gets deeper and deeper and deeper.

I can save it to my favorites here, so I can access To it at a glance. For example, the classmate’s notes that I just talked about, I can click here and it will automatically take me to that page.

I have my lectures, which I write mostly as notes on my iPhone will Stored here about different clinical skill templates.

 

Here I got a breakdown of the different types of tasks for my portfolio eg.

 

Any daily log submitted each day of each week.

 

Past terrain, and reflections from these different areas here I check them off as complete as I’m done.

 

As you can see, I completed 100 on this part of my work, the various clinical skills I need to do, And then here this is the schedule that I have.’s been very useful because I can look at it at a glance and know where I’m supposed to be every week and then here in every clinic I’ve seen in the house.

 

It’s notes from patients that I’ve seen that I typed on my machine.

 

The iPod I don’t want to go through the whole thing, so it’s going to get boring.

 

But the point but overall I’ve just got a wealth of information here all organized and arranged very neatly in a way that’s easy to access and expensive. For me, it’s from my mobile when I’m in the hospital on the train on the bus wherever it is Well.

 

This is my medical school dashboard at a glance going over to my YouTube dashboard, probably something you guys will find interesting a little bit behind the scenes on how I make these videos and organize them and come up with my thoughts here.

It has generally been divided into projects on the left and miscellaneous on the right.

 

So some of the things that I think you might find interesting is collaborating with companies.

 

So again, I’m going to kind of set up a Blackboard about companies that I want to work with people that I’m talking to right now here Notion as an example, and then here are the companies that I’ve worked with in the Past and nurtured once In a week, I’m waiting for payment And so again without this timeline organizer, I need to easily organize in my head, who I worked with and with whom and when the payments would get messy and complicated and confusing.

 

And since I am a full-time, medical student, I need this to be as easy and simple as possible.

 

I already have a lot of work to do.

 

I have a lot of hours to spend in the hospital.

 

I need my extracurriculars to be very simple, fast, efficient, and easy so having an app like Notion and using these different tools, presentations, and views really helps my workflow and keeps me organized, And I have comments on my videos arranged here too, and every comment I’ve seen on any of my videos is stored here I write this app first and then I copy and paste it into YouTube. It’s cool that you look at this sometimes and see all the different comments I make about some of the things I’m working on In the future stay connected and informed and keep typing a bunch of different things that I need.

This Kind of organizing scripting like YouTube videos around my ideas and just improving workflow when it comes to YouTube videos.

I have an idea here in the left column And every single one of these is an idea I’ve pulled down for a potential future YouTube video.

 

The second thing is anything that goes into my head, Whether I’m in a club or on a bus anywhere.

 

I’ll immediately write it down on my phone.

 

I don’t want to forget these things, Even if they’re bad ideas. Look at them, while I’m sitting at my desk later.

 

I can build on that and I can explore them.

 

I can do research.

 

I can make it a good idea, so I write down pretty much anything I think of so.

 

I have 46 ideas here.

 

It’s a pretty long list And then once I have an idea here and it starts spinning and I think of what I can turn into a video, I’m, going to drag and drop it into the next step of the canvas.

 

So, for example, here, if you look at some of these videos, you’ll know what kinds of things are coming soon on the channel and then once I’ve picked.

 

One of these ideas is the winner here and I love it that’s.

 

What I’m going to work on moves on to the scripting section, For example, for this idea Julah Notion, I wrote a long detailed text and all I wanted to talk about was this thing and found that it makes a good video when I Sit down and turn on the camera It kinda helps me keep my thoughts, clear and remember to show everything I wanted to show at once and when the recording is done, I can move from the restricted section to the recorded section, which I hope to do.

 

If I don’t forget Press record here, These are the videos that I’ve already recorded, that I’ve already shot and that’s stored somewhere on one of my hard disks in my inventory here and then I can choose which ones I Want to finish Once they are edited, they are ready to be published and as soon as I publish them, they are done Successfully. This new video idea is here, so I click on it to open it, And I kind of want to build the theme of this video, so here I created a pre-prepared template and also Ali Abdel taught me this thanks again, I will also show You in the application, how to do it again So as soon as I click on this video idea here, my page will automatically be populated with the template I created before.

 

For example, I now have an area to start thinking of a title for this video.

 

I can jot down some ideas of how my thumbnail might look like.

 

I have my intro from the first second and third video sections, the outro, and then this checklist of things to post later So see how easy it is, I think, of an idea and put it on a note.

 

I click one button and it selects that template for me and I can immediately start thinking and writing about what that video will look like in the future that’s the nice thing about Notion.

 

It helps me improve my workflow and helps me make everything I do easy. It helps me be more efficient in saving time and organizing my life.

 

You know as someone who is constantly thinking about how I can organize my life and save more Time to do more things.

 

It makes me more efficient that’s exactly what I needed very useful.

 

I have a lot to say about this idea box, or maybe I’ll – save it for a future video.
