A Chesapeake, Virginia, elementary school, later this month, will have a new offering for students called the After School Satan Club. 

According to a flyer on The Satanic Temple’s Facebook page, the After School Satan Club is scheduled to convene in the library at B.M. Williams Primary School in Chesapeake, Virginia on Dec. 15, where students can learn about benevolence and empathy, critical thinking, problem-solving, creative expression, personal sovereignty, and compassion.

“The Satanic Temple is a non-theistic religion that views Satan as a literary figure who represents a metaphorical construct of rejecting tyranny and championing the human mind and spirit,” the flyer reads. “After School Satan Club does not attempt to convert children to any religious ideology. Instead, the Satanic Temple supports children to think for themselves.”

SATANIC TEMPLE HOSTS ‘AFTER SCHOOL SATAN CLUB’ AT PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOL

CBS station WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia, reported that some parents in the school district argue the club does not need to be in the elementary school, where children are so young.

Lawyers, though, say the school must make room for the club because of its affiliation with religion, which ties it back to the first amendment and freedom of religion.

According to WTKR, the director of the club, June Everett, said “the club isn’t about fire and brimstone,” but instead is about brainstorming.

CALIFORNIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO ALLOW ‘AFTER SCHOOL SATAN CLUB’

Chesapeake Public Schools Superintendent Jared Cotton said in a statement to parents that the district has policies and procedures in place that allow community groups to use publicly funded facilities outside of the school day.

“This is common practice among school districts around the state and nation,” the statement read. “Over the years, different religious groups have requested and been allowed to rent our facilities after hours. By law, CPS cannot discriminate based on beliefs among groups wishing to rent our facilities.”

Cotton added that the district approved a building-use request from the After School Satan Club to host gatherings after school hours at B.M. Williams Primary School.

All students are required to have a parent-signed permissions slip to attend any after school program hosted by an outside organization.

A public hearing on the matter is scheduled for the school board’s next meeting on Dec. 12, just three days before the inaugural meeting of the After School Satan Club.

Since the beginning of the Ukraine war in February, sanctions against oligarchs close to Russian President Vladimir Putin have been used as a tool to put pressure on Russia. Assets affected thus far have included yachts, luxury planes and lavish residences throughout the world.

According to a Wednesday press release from the Ukrainian government, the latest development saw a Croatian court clear the way for a $200 million superyacht to be sold to benefit Ukraine.

Royal Romance, as the yacht is called, is a 300-foot long Dutch-designed custom creation that can entertain 14 guests and is served by some 21 crew members. The yacht belonged to Viktor Medvedchuk, a Ukrainian oil and media baron who has led a pro-Russian party in Ukraine for years, even after the 2014 annexation of Crimea and the beginning of the war in the Donbas.

Medvedchuk is a Putin ally who has vacationed with the Russian leader. Putin himself is godfather to Medvedchuk’s daughter, Daria. 

The Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency (Arma) said that it would “preserve the economic value [of the yacht] by selling it at auction.”

According to The Guardian, it is the first such sale on behalf of the Ukrainian people since Western governments began to impose restrictions on the assets of hundreds of oligarchs.

Medvedchuk was recently part of an unexpected September prisoner swap between Russia and Ukraine. Some 300 people were exchanged, including the commanders who led a prolonged Ukrainian defense of Mariupol earlier this year.

The oligarch was first detained in April in a special operation carried out by Ukraine’s state security service, or the SBU. Though he was charged with treason last year, Medvedchuk escaped from house arrest within days of hostilities breaking out on Feb. 24 in Ukraine. 

This year, many assets that made up Medvedchuk’s 2021 net worth of $620 million have been seized by the Ukrainian government: palatial villas across Ukraine, cars and shares of capital in various companies.

However, the superyacht is a particular gem among Medvedchuk’s holdings, boasting a nearly 40-foot swimming pool alongside a waterfall that flows over Royal Romance’s stern. 

Croatian newspaper Jutarnji list reported Tuesday that the FBI raided the yacht last month. After a court in Split, Croatia, granted a search warrant request from the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ), FBI agents boarded the yacht, which is docked in the town of Trogir. Judge Dinko Mešin confirmed that Medvedchuk and his wife, Oksana Marchenko, were named in the search warrant. 

Superyachts belonging to other oligarchs have been seized in the months since the war began. 

Dilbar, the world’s sixth-longest yacht, which features two helipads, was seized by German authorities while it was docked in the port of Hamburg. The yacht was determined to have been indirectly transferred from oligarch Alisher Usmanov to his sister, both of whom are under Western sanctions. It is reportedly worth around half a billion dollars. 

UKRAINE BEGINS NEW EVACUATIONS IN KHERSON AS INCREASED HOSTILITIES EXPECTED

Another yacht, Amadea, worth north of $300 million and belonging to Suleiman Kerimov, was seized by authorities in Fiji in May, according to a DOJ press release. 

The United States now has its sights set on the $156 million yacht named Madame Gu, the New York Times reported. The craft, linked to Russian oligarch Andrei Skoch, has been named a blocked property by the U.S., but its seizure will prove diplomatically complicated. Madame Gu is currently docked in Dubai, with the U.A.E. balking at cooperation.

The seizure of these crafts has been an important strategy pursued by the Biden administration.

On Friday, Melanie Brown was a guest on “The Big Narstie Show” where she was asked, “Who is the biggest d—head celebrity you’ve met?” The former “Spice Girl” put her own name on the list, as well as fellow Spice Girl Ginger Spice.

“So, there’s a few,” Mel said on the British talk show. “James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J and me.”

Mel clarified that she loved Halliwell, but she can be “really f—ing annoying.”

However, Mel’s feelings on Corden seemed to stem from how he treats other people.

“I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with — whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting,” she said.

“We all work for the same thing, so you should always be nice, and he hasn’t been very nice.”

A rep for Corden did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Mel was a guest on Corden’s the “Late Late Show” in 2016 and again in 2018. The former pop star joins restaurateur Keith McNally in the recent condemnation of Corden.

In October, McNally took to Instagram and initially banned the comedian from dining at his New York City upscale eatery, Balthazar, after Corden was allegedly “abusive” to his employees.

“James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago,” McNally wrote on Instagram at the time.

The restaurateur said in one ugly incident, Corden allegedly “yell[ed] like crazy” at a server because his wife’s egg yolk omelet had egg white in it, and when it was brought back to the table after being fixed, it was paired with home fries instead of a salad.

McNally said Corden apologized “profusely” after the post got media attention, which prompted him to reverse the ban. But things took a turn when Corden claimed he did nothing wrong “on any level” to The New York Times shortly after.

“Should we not all be a little grown up about this?” Corden asked the reporter. “I promise you, ask around this restaurant. They don’t know about this. Maybe 15% of people.” McNally called for Corden to “own up” to his behavior in another Instagram post.

After the heated Instagram post, Corden issued a public apology to McNally and the Balthazar staff and called his behavior “ungracious.”

“Because I didn’t shout or scream — like I didn’t get up out of my seat, I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language — I have been walking around thinking that I hadn’t done anything wrong, right?” Corden said on an appearance of the “Late Late Show” in October.

“As her meal came wrong to the table the third time, in the heat of the moment, I made a sarcastic, rude comment about cooking it myself. And it is a comment I deeply regret,” the “Cats” actor said.

“I understand the difficulties of being a server. I worked shifts at restaurants for years,” Corden added. “I have such respect and I value anyone that does such a job, and the team of that restaurant are so great.

“I hope I’m allowed in again one day, so when I’m back in New York, I can go there and apologize in person, which is something I will absolutely do.”

As for Mel’s response to Jessie J, she did not share any additional details, but the Spice Girl previously named Jessie J after being asked who the most “overrated” pop singer is during a 2019 interview. Jessie J later called Mel “overrated” in an Instagram.

“‘Overrated’ *Mel B Voice,” she wrote at the time, according to Entertainment Tonight.

A rep for Jessie J did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
