What He Did With Some LEGOs Is A Genius Organizational Trick
If you’ve ever worked on your laptop in a crowded cafe, you know how cramped things can get. After all, trying to fit all of your materials (and your coffee, of course) on a small table is a recipe for disaster. It always turns into a balancing act, but there has to be a better way…right?
Thanks to one Redditor by the name of Splice1138, there is! He was tired of stacking his Microsoft Surface haphazardly while working in coffee shops, so he came up with an ingenious way to stay organized. If you have similar equipment, all you need to do is grab a LEGO base plate and follow these simple steps.
First thing’s first: grab a LEGO base plate.
Make sure that the plate is wider than your device. It’s better to have too much to work with than too little!
Next, line up the LEGO board to match the Surface’s folding arm. You’ll need to cut the plate where the arm folds, so mark that area with a pen or some more LEGOs.
Here’s what it should look like.
If the plates start rubbing together at the fold, there’s a simple solution.
All you need to do is sand them down a bit!
After that’s sorted out, use adhesive to attach the plate to your Surface.
Once that’s done, gather up all of the gadgets that you usually carry around with you.
Use adhesive to glue LEGOs to the back of each attachment. By sticking things like USB ports and chargers to the back of the device, you can free up a ton of table space!
Genius, right?
Now you can spend more time focusing on your coffee (and your work, I guess), and less time worrying about where all of your stuff will go.
Although this Redditor used a Microsoft Surface, there’s nothing stopping you from figuring out how to use this trick on the devices you own!
