Reflection – a key part of your Personal Coaching Process

 

And another thing just whilst I was on my
walk in Southwold I was thinking about things.   I was looking at the sea and looking at
the reflection in the sea and it took me to think about reflection. This is something
in my experience that not enough salespeople spend anything like enough time doing. So do you
when you have come out of a call reflect upon how it went? Did you achieve your objectives? If you
did what have you learned from that? If you didn’t what are you going to do differently next time?
Because reflection is critically important in building your skills and your capabilities.
It’s your fast-track personal coaching program.   So did you achieve your objectives? What have
you learned about this customer now that you didn’t understand before? What are you going to
do differently the next time you visit?   What particular skills are you going to have
to work on and develop? So please don’t stop when you leave the call.

 

That’s the beginning of
your coaching process. Think about what happened, how it happened, why it happened
what are you going to do differently next time..
