What is it with Piers Morgan and “the pope thing”? A week after tweeting that he finds the pope’s resignation “a bit lame,” Morgan kicked off his interview with former President Jimmy Carter with this bizarre observation:

Jimmy Carter has extraordinary energy & drive for a man 4 years older than the retiring Pope…. #CNN

Wouldn’t an American president resigning because of “tiredness” also be a bit lame? It’s the first question we’d ask Jimmy Carter if given the chance.

Just… wow RT @piersmorgan: Jimmy Carter has extraordinary energy & drive for a man 4 years older than the retiring Pope

Good point: Jimmy Carter might be in good health, but he also chose to sit for an interview with Piers Morgan. Kudos to Carter for dealing well with an inane question.
