Hello, Brooklyn: Nets launch ‘new chapter’

http://twitter.com/#!/brooklynnets/status/196964095860289536

The artists formerly known as the New Jersey Nets unveiled their new logo this morning in front of what looks to be at least seven people.

Time will tell if the Nets will have better success in Brooklyn, but if not at least they’ll look good doing it.

Not for nothing, but the new Brooklyn Nets logo? Kinda awesome. http://t.co/vs59gZw0

new Brooklyn Nets gear definitely has some #swag appeal thanks to Jay-Z….i kinda like it even tho its just black and white

The "vintage" aesthetic of the newly unveiled Brooklyn Nets logo is cool. Looks more like a fashion house than a sports team.

Brooklyn #Nets gear is NOW AVAILABLE! Be first among your friends to dress with the swag that comes with following a perennial lottery team

Not all were fans of the redesign, however.

As well should have learned by now, letting Jay-Z do anything creative in 2012 is a recipe for utter disaster. Re: New Brooklyn Nets logo.

Man who designed the Brooklyn Nets team logo?! Talk about generic! U see that @CBennyTweets?

The Brooklyn Nets logo looks like someone made a photocopy of the real logo and then put that out there. #NBA
