Finding a Routine with Google Assistant

Julia LEE HARTER, Hey everyone. I’m Julia your partner in productivity, And today we’re going to be talking about creating productive routines using Google Assistant Routines are incredibly important for reducing stress, accomplishing tasks, and making time for your passions, But they can be hard to establish.

Luckily, you have a personal assistant who can help you organize your schedule and keep you on track.

The only thing it’s missing is the ability to make coffee runs, Have y’all considered, adding that It’s, not a terrible idea?

Anyways here are four ways you can get started.

Google Assistant, The first tip uses the Routine Function.

Did you can automatically trigger multiple Assistant actions with just one command Take my morning routine? For example, All I have to do is say: Hey Google good morning and my routine is activated My bedroom lights turn on, and the Assistant tells me what the weather is like before listing off my calendar events for the day Now let’s create a routine Together, First, you go into the Google Home app Then hit Routines.

You’ll see a list of routine options, Choose what best suits your needs or create your own.

For now, let’s create a bedtime, routine Pick a starter phrase and add actions like turning off lights adjusting phone settings, or setting an alarm for the next morning.

It’s all about creating a routine that relaxes and inspires you.

My second tip is to schedule reminders During busy workdays. I can forget to do basic things like eat lunch.

I know So.

I ask Google Assistant to remind me to take breaks throughout the day.

Rest is a really important part of any sustainable routine.

To set a reminder, just ask your Assistant device to remind you to do a task at a certain time.

Hey, Google remind me to take a walk at 3.

00 PM Tip number three is a fun one, listen to calming music.

Initially, I was hesitant to set up a structured daily routine because it sounded boring, But now that I have one I have a more customized approach to my work and more time to do what I love.

One of those things is music, So I asked my Google Assistant to play focus music.

That instantly gets me in the zone. I like to listen to cozy lo-fi, but there are endless song options to help.

You find your rhythm.

Last.

There are tip number four working sprints.

Sometimes my brain just doesn’t want to focus So I’ll start a working sprint.

I asked Google Assistant to set an alarm for 25 minutes During that time.

I work on whatever project or task.

I’ve been procrastinating.

Then I take a five-minute break If I’m feeling particularly scattered, I may shorten this, but even 15 minutes of dedicated focus time is better than nothing.

After four of these sprints, I’ll take a longer break Working sprints, improve time management, and increase productivity. They also allow you to hone in on one task at a time and avoid multitasking, And there you go in four customizable ways: Google Assistant can help you build a routine and find your flow.
