American gymnast Simone Biles looks more than ready to represent Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Biles, the most decorated gymnast of all time, gave an early look at what fans – and competitors – can expect to see from her when the women’s gymnastics qualification rounds begin this weekend.

During podium training at Bercy Arena on Thursday, Biles nailed her signature Yurchenko double pike vault – a complex and difficult vault named after Biles in 2023 after she became the first female gymnast to land it during international competition.

USA Gymnastics shared a video of Biles’ “unreal” vault, in which she walked off the mats smiling after sticking the landing. 

“Is she even human,” one person wrote on social media in response to the slo-mo of Biles’ vault. “She is amazing.” 

According to NBC Sports, the vault has a skill rating of 6.4 because of the difficulty in landing it. This means if Biles is able to repeat Thursday’s performance in competition, it could easily put her in medal contention.

“We’re all breathing a little bit better right now. I’m not gonna lie,” gymnastics coach Cecile Landi said of Biles after Thursday’s session, via the Olympics website. 

“The whole team, you know, [the vibe] is bright. It’s the Olympic Games… The rings are everywhere, you know? So we feel much better. The girls feel good. We feel good.”

On the eve of the Games opening ceremony, a confident Biles is a reassuring sight for Team USA fans. 

Biles’ last showing in the Olympic Games came to an unfortunate end after she withdrew from competition following a bad bout of “the twisties.” She pulled out of several competitions to focus on her mental health but still returned for the balance beam, where she would win bronze. 

Women’s gymnastics qualifying rounds begin Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

History will be made in Paris on Friday when more than 10,000 of the world’s best athletes gather for a never-before-seen opening ceremony that will highlight the most iconic Parisian landmarks. 

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris marks a return to normalcy after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Games in Tokyo to be delayed until 2021. Friday’s celebrations will set the tone as the parade of athletes makes its way down the Seine River by boat. 

It is the first time the opening ceremony will take place outside a stadium.

Approximately 10,500 athletes from 206 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) will take part in Friday’s festivities. More than 90 boats will carry these athletes on the Seine as spectators line up to watch. According to the Olympics website, larger NOCs will have their own boat while smaller ones will share a vessel.

About 220,000 invited and security-screened spectators are expected to fill the upper tiers of the Seine’s banks, and an additional 104,000 paying spectators will watch from the lower riverside and around the Trocadéro plaza.

2024 PARIS OLYMPICS: EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT THIS YEAR’S SUMMER GAMES

The parade will follow the 3.7-mile stretch of the Seine beginning at the Austerlitz Bridge beside the Jardin des Plantes. Along the way, they will see up close some of Paris’ most historic landmarks, including Notre-Dame and the Louvre, before ending at the Iena Bridge, which links the Eiffel Tower on the left bank of the Seine to the Trocadéro district on the right bank.

Live coverage of the opening ceremony is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. ET and airs on NBC and streams on Peacock and NBC Olympic platforms. 

U.S. Open winner Coco Gauff and NBA star LeBron James will lead Team USA as the flag bearer in Friday’s celebrations. In what will be her first Olympics, Gauff is the first American tennis player to carry the flag.

“I’m not putting too much pressure on it because I really want to fully indulge in the experience,” she said of her Olympic debut. “Hopefully I can have the experience multiple times in my lifetime, [but] I’ll treat it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

The Mexican drug kingpin Ismael Zambada Garcia, also known as “El Mayo,” who co-founded the notorious Sinaloa drug cartel was taken into custody in El Paso, Texas on Thursday, according to the Department of Justice.

Also taken into custody was Juaquin Guzman Lopez, the son of the cartel’s other co-founder, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

“The Justice Department has taken into custody two additional alleged leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel, one of the most violent and powerful drug trafficking organizations in the world,” U.S. Attorney General Merick B. Garland said. “Ismael Zambada Garcia, or ‘El Mayo,’ cofounder of the Cartel, and Joaquin Guzman Lopez, a son of its other cofounder, were arrested today in El Paso, Texas.” 

Zambada Garcia and now-jailed drug lord “El Chapo” founded the Sinaloa Cartel.

“El Mayo,” who the Department of Justice was offering a $15 million reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction, now faces a litany of indictments for crimes related to drug trafficking and organized crime in the United States.

In February, U.S. federal prosecutors charged Zambada Garcia with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute fentanyl, which U.S. officials say is the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18 and 45.

The superseding indictment extended the dates of previous indictments from May 2014 to January 2024, and at the time it was filed, Zambada Garcia was at large.

Guzman was convicted by a federal grand jury in Brooklyn in February 2019 and sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years.

Zambada Garcia continued to evade capture and allegedly continued to run the Sinaloa Cartel from Mexico, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York in February.

According to the superseding indictment, Zambada Garcia, from 1999-2024, led a continuing enterprise responsible for the importation and distribution of massive quantities of narcotics, which generated billions of dollars in profits.

In his efforts to ensure the cartel remained successful, Zambada Garcia allegedly employed individuals to obtain transportation routes and warehouses to import and store narcotics and “sicarios,” or hit men, to carry out kidnappings and murders in Mexico to retaliate against rivals who threatened the Sinaloa Cartel.

The millions of dollars generated from the operation were then transported back to Mexico.

“El Mayo and Guzman Lopez join a growing list of Sinaloa Cartel leaders and associates who the Justice Department is holding accountable in the United States. That includes the Cartel’s other cofounder, Joaquin Guzman Loera, or ‘El Chapo’; another of El Chapo’s sons and an alleged Cartel leader, Ovidio Guzman Lopez; and the Cartel’s alleged lead sicario, Néstor Isidro Pérez Salas, or ‘El Nini.'” Garland said. “Fentanyl is the deadliest drug threat our country has ever faced, and the Justice Department will not rest until every single cartel leader, member, and associate responsible for poisoning our communities is held accountable.”

In light of Guzman’s trial conviction, his name has been removed from the superseding indictment against Zambada Garcia.

With training camps back in session, the rivalry is back on.

Mahomes, though, has owned the Raiders throughout his career. He is 10-2 against Las Vegas. And in those dozen games, Mahomes has a 109.6 passer rating while throwing for 3,573 yards, 30 touchdowns and just four interceptions and completing 66.2% of his passes. So, perhaps it isn’t wise for the Raiders to poke the bear.

Christina Hall‘s impending divorce from ex Josh Hall has just taken a messy turn. 

According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the HGTV star has accused her estranged husband of transferring $35,000 of her money into his personal bank account after their divorce filing earlier this month. 

In the documents, Christina stated: “On July 21, 2024, I learned that on July 8, 2024, which is the day after I communicated to Josh that I would be filing for dissolution, Josh contacted my professional property manager via text and stated, ‘Hi. For June payments, can we please get it sent to a different account when it’s time? Thank you.'”

“The statement ‘can we please’ is not accurate as I had no personal contact with Josh on July 08, 2024. I would not have asked him to send himself my money the day after I told him we are getting divorced,” she continued. 

“Josh was able to divert over $35,000 of my separate property rental income into his account,” she added. “I am asking for Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me as those funds are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties.”

Both Christina and Josh filed for divorce on July 7 in an Orange County court, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

The “Flip or Flop” star and her estranged husband petitioned a court for a dissolution of marriage (divorce) citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Josh, a realtor, cited their date of separation as July 8, while Christina noted the former couple had separated the day before, on July 7.

The estranged couple’s date of marriage was listed as Oct. 6, 2021. 

In the new documents, Christina stated that she was “shocked and concerned” at Josh’s actions the day after their divorce filing.

“The fact that this is the same date he now alleges to be our date of separation, even though it is actually July 7, 2024, makes it clear why he chose the next day,” she stated. “It makes me wonder what else I am not aware of as it relates to his financial situation and that is why I am having a full forensic accounting performed for the entire term of our marriage.”

Additionally, Christina stated that her ex “should not need” spousal support as he has his own source of income. 

“I understand that at some point this court may require that I pay some spousal support to Josh and reasonable attorney’s fees to his counsel,” she stated. “However, it is my belief that this is a simple case with straightforward accounting over a short period of time, any fees and costs should be minimal.”

“Like all hard-working mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work. It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore he should not need any spousal support from me,” she added. 

Representatives for both Christina and Josh did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. 

On Wednesday, Josh posted a photo of himself with a simple praying hands emoji. 

Christina’s union with Joshua marked her third marriage.
