Police have shifted their search for Suzanne Simpson to wooded areas around her Olmos Park, Texas, home, as the hunt for the missing luxury real estate agent and mom of four enters its third week.

Simpson, 51, disappeared on Oct. 6 after allegedly fighting with her husband of 22 years in Olmos Park, outside San Antonio.

Sgt. Deon Cockrell of the Texas Department of Public Safety told Fox News Digital that a search at a local landfill ended after no evidence tied to Simpson’s disappearance was found there last week.

“They’ve removed all the search groups and equipment in that area,” Cockrell said.

Olmos Park Mayor Erin Harrison said the search for Simpson “will now focus on the wooded areas in and around Olmos Park,” KSAT reported. Harrison said the Olmos Park Police Department has enlisted the resources of Texas Search and Rescue, an Austin-based nonprofit organization.

Simpson’s sister, Teresa Clark, expressed her gratitude for everyone involved in the search when speaking to News 4 San Antonio on Saturday.

“When a mother goes missing, they don’t go missing by accident,” Clark told the outlet. “Suzanne was a beloved mother.”

Simpson was last seen wearing a black dress on Oct. 6 at 11 p.m. in the 500 block of East Olmos in Olmos Park. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

A neighbor told police he saw Brad Simpson and wife Suzanne physically fighting each other on the night of Oct. 6 and later heard screams coming from a nearby wooded area, according to the arrest affidavit. The neighbor observed that “Ms. Simpson was attempting to get away from Mr. Simpson’s grasp as he tried to pull her downwards,” the report continued.

“That night we think she was in distress … it’s very suspicious, though, that obviously she’s not going to work, and she’s not checking in on her children,” Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas said.

Police have tried to interview Brad, but he has been “uncooperative,” Villegas said.

“Brad’s refusal to cooperate is unacceptable,” Suzanne’s brother-in-law, Barton Simpson, wrote in a Facebook post.

According to jail records, Brad Simpson remains at the Bexar County Jail on a combined $2 million bond for charges of assault causing bodily injury, family violence and unlawful restraint for the Oct. 6 incident.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan relayed what the organization feels star receiver Brandon Aiyuk might have after being carted off the field against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Shanahan says the 49ers fear Aiyuk has a torn ACL, which would sideline him for the remainder of the season.

“That’s what it looks like, but we don’t know for sure,” Shanahan said, per 49erswebzone.com. “Just doing the test and everything with our hands, and with the trainers and stuff, all that. That’s what we fear. That’s what it looks like, but we’ve been wrong before, so we’re praying that we are.”

Aiyuk will undergo further testing to confirm the 49ers’ fear.

Aiyuk caught a pass from quarterback Brock Purdy with 37 seconds left in the half, and he took it for 15 yards with Justin Reid and Chamarri Conner tackling him simultaneously.

However, as Reid was trying to bring him down, Conner came sprinting in and threw his body at Aiyuk’s leg. Video replay of the tackle showed Aiyuk’s right knee buckle, and he was in immediate pain down on the field.

Aiyuk needed to be carted off the field after trainers assessed what he was going through.

The injury came after the 49ers were already without Deebo Samuel, who tried to play through an illness but ultimately had to bow out early in the 28-18 loss to Kansas City.

It also comes after an absolute rollercoaster for the talented receiver this offseason, when he was seeking a new long-term extension instead of just playing on his fifth-year option.

The 49ers and Aiyuk went back and forth, as the latter requested a trade and the former eventually told him just before the season he would be forced to practice. Both sides ultimately agreed on a four-year, $120 million deal that locked Aiyuk back in with the Niners long-term.

Through six games, Aiyuk has totaled 351 yards through the air on 23 catches (41 targets), but he did not find the end zone once this season. If this is an ACL tear, Aiyuk will end the year with those numbers as the 49ers set him up on a recovery path with 2025 in mind.

The 49ers’ offense is a group filled with talent, but Aiyuk is the latest serious injury to Shanahan’s group. Christian McCaffrey is the obvious piece missing at the moment, as he is dealing with Achilles tendinitis in both feet.

San Francisco was expected to be a Super Bowl contending team again this season, but it has not been a dream start for them as they dropped to 3-4 with the loss to the Chiefs now.

Overtime wasn’t needed for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers to determine a victor this time around, as the Super Bowl rematch resulted in Patrick Mahomes & Co. winning again on Sunday.

With the 28-18 final on the road, the Chiefs are the NFL’s only remaining undefeated team after the Minnesota Vikings lost to their NFC North rival Detroit Lions on a last-second field goal earlier Sunday.

Once again, it wasn’t Mahomes’ best effort out on the field Sunday, but he managed to get the job done, which included moments where he worked some of his patented “Mahomes Magic” with his legs.

Mahomes scored a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter, which was his first score on the ground in his last 32 games, including the playoffs. His elusive abilities in and outside the pocket have developed into the stuff of legend at this point, but Mahomes found a seam from one yard out to put the Chiefs up 21-12 as the quarter began.

Earlier in that drive, Mahomes rushed for his longest yardage of his career as he scampered his way not just past the San Francisco 30-yard line for a first down but an extra 26 yards for a total 33-yard gain on the ground.

It appeared like Mahomes was just going to go out of bounds when he reached the first-down marker, but he hit a quick stop so the San Francisco defender couldn’t tackle him and continued to march along the left sideline before finally going out.

Mahomes finished the day with 39 yards on the ground on five carries, though he didn’t fare well through the air with 154 yards on 16-of-27 passing with two interceptions and no touchdown passes.

Nonetheless, the Chiefs leaned on the ground game, anchored by Kareem Hunt with his 78 yards and two touchdowns, while Mecole Hardman iced the victory in the Bay Area with an 18-yard end-around sprint to the end zone for a score as well.

Meanwhile, Brock Purdy was having issues all game long with the Chiefs’ defense, which continues to be a formidable unit led by coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Purdy threw three interceptions, two of which came on back-to-back second half drives that the Chiefs scored their fourth-quarter touchdowns on in response. He was 17 of 31 through the air for 212 yards, though he did rush for two touchdowns on eight carries for 27 yards.

The 49ers were already down a man as Deebo Samuel attempted to battle an illness to start the game, but he ultimately had to bow out. Then Brandon Aiyuk, to whom San Francisco just paid big money this past offseason after a long contract roller coaster, appeared to suffer a serious leg injury after being tackled in the right knee area. He was carted off the field.

In turn, it was tight end George Kittle with a game-high 92 yards receiving on six catches for the 49ers, while rookie Jacob Cowing had 50 yards on two catches thanks to a 41-yard shot down the field that set up a touchdown for Purdy.

As the Chiefs enjoy yet another win this season, the Niners are still searching for consistency as they drop to 3-4 on the year.

For some people, sleepless nights can be caused by racing thoughts, reactions to caffeine or overstimulation from using devices too close to bedtime.

But for those affected by restless legs syndrome (RLS), getting quality rest can seem impossible.

RLS is a nervous system condition that causes an irresistible urge to move the legs, often accompanied by tingling, pain, numbness or a sensation of “pulling.”

‘HOW MUCH SLEEP IS TOO MUCH?’ ASK A DOCTOR

Fox News Digital spoke to two medical doctors to learn more about the condition, as well as ways to reduce the triggers and symptoms.

Restless legs syndrome is a neurological condition that results in the uncomfortable urge to move the legs.

“This usually happens in the evening or night when someone is sitting or lying down, but can happen anytime someone is sitting for a prolonged period of time, like riding in a car or a plane,” Beth Oller, M.D., a family physician with Rooks County Health Center in Stockton, Kansas, told Fox News Digital. “This interferes with sleep and rest.”

RLS affects between 7% and 10% of the United States population.

It is more common among women and the risk increases with age, according to Cleveland Clinic.

The condition is known as early-onset RLS when the diagnosis is made before age 45. This type tends to run in families and progresses slowly, according to Oller.

Late-onset RLS begins after age 45 and progresses more quickly.

An uncomfortable sensation in the legs that leads to the urge to move them is the main symptom of RLS.

“This is often described as a tingling or itching sensation, a crawling, creeping sensation, or aching and throbbing,” Oller said.

“These sensations are most commonly in the calf area, and sensations get worse when you’re resting.”

Although symptoms are usually most noticeable in the evening, they can occur when sitting for a prolonged period of time.

The specific cause of RLS is not known, but genetics could play a role.

“It does often run in families, and there are some gene variants that have been linked to RLS,” Oller said.

Some medications have also been linked to RLS, as has excessive use of caffeine and alcohol, she added.

Certain lifestyle habits may impact the condition, according to Mike Sevilla, M.D., a family physician with Salem Family Care in Salem, Ohio.

“In talking with my patients, there can be individual triggers that may make RLS symptoms worse, like stress, caffeine, alcohol and nicotine,” he told Fox News Digital.

“There is no way to prevent RLS, and the seriousness can vary from person to person,” said Oller.

For those experiencing RLS, moving the legs does reduce the discomfort, but this relief only lasts for a short period of time, according to the doctor.

While there is no cure, there are ways to lessen symptoms, she noted.

One first-line treatment is to test for and correct any existing iron deficiency, which can be a contributing factor.

Lifestyle changes may also help reduce RLS occurrence and symptoms, Oller said.

While moderate exercise can help with the condition, she recommends avoiding heavy or intense exercise several hours before bedtime.

Salem suggests stretching leg muscles in the evening, soaking the legs in a warm tub and aiming for a regular sleep schedule of six to eight hours per night.

Avoiding caffeine or alcohol for several hours before bed can also help prevent symptoms.

If these approaches aren’t effective, there are medications available to treat RLS.

“Generally, the first medications prescribed will be ones that increase dopamine in the leg, like pramipexole or ropinirole,” Oller said.

Anyone who is experiencing persistent symptoms that create sleep disruptions should contact a doctor for guidance.
