For Jacob Wright, 24, his “something new” was the Apple Vision Pro headset, which he wore while being photographed at his own wedding.

The groom, who is a software engineer at RunPod, a Philadelphia-based software company, and his wife, Cambree Wright, 19, a personal trainer, were nearing the end of their photo shoot and while Cambree posed for bridal pictures, Jacob grabbed his Apple Vision Pro, he told Fox News Digital.

The Utah couple tied the knot on Feb. 10 and shared the now-viral photos before leaving for their honeymoon.

Jacob Wright said he had seen some photos circulating on X of people doing everyday life with Apple Vision Pros (priced at $3,499), and he saw the opportunity to have a fun, viral moment if he wore them while standing alongside his new wife.

“I was like, ‘Oh, it’d be like such a meme. It’d be so funny if we just took some pictures with it on after the wedding,” he said.

As Cambree Wright was finalizing her solo shots, Jacob Wright came around the corner adorned in his tech gear and everyone there couldn’t help but laugh.

“The photographer thought it was hilarious. She thought it was like the funniest thing ever,” Jacob Wright said.

He posted the moment on X, and it immediately caught the attention of the tech community.

While Cambree Wright may look less than thrilled, she promises that some moments were captured in poor timing.

“I just got my wedding pictures back yesterday and all of them are [of] me laughing and smiling at Jacob in the Apple Vision Pros, so I guess the only one where I look like a jerk is the one that blew up,” she joked.

Cambree Wright said Utah was hit with chilly weather on her big day, so her look of “disgust” was not in relation to her husband’s technology, but rather the outside cold.

Jacob Wright posted the photo and his phone “started blowing up” during the reception, he recalled.

UNCOMFORTABLE REALITY LEADS TO VISION PRO RETURNS

While enjoying their honeymoon, they started to read some of the comments.

 “People are ruthless,” Jacob Wright said.

“The messages were a little bit crazy. I woke up to 200 plus messages and just random girls telling me to divorce my husband,” Cambree Wright recalled.

The happy couple didn’t let the comments get them down or tarnish their fun memory.

Since tying the knot, Jacob Wright has returned his Apple Vision Pros.

“I tried super hard to adopt [it] into daily workflow. I spent a whole day working [while wearing them], and there were just no net productivity gains,” he said.

“The fun part is just seeing people’s reaction to it because it really is pretty magical. But in terms of daily use…it just wasn’t quite there to warrant it,” Jacob Wright added.

What Jacob Wright found most enjoyable was the tech’s spatial video capabilities, as he used it to capture footage during his time working with the wedding photographer and even allowed friends to try it out during the reception, he said.

“And I think in the future, like us being able to show our kids the immersive pictures and videos, we’ll have one of the first immersive videos of a wedding,” Jacob Wright added.

“It could be something that we watch with our kids on, like a hologram,” he said. “I don’t know. It could be wild.”

The couple could not have been happier with how the wedding turned out, and they love that this viral moment is something they can laugh about together.

“The picture and everything that happened that day totally, perfectly encompasses Jacob and his personality, who he is [and] his interests,” Cambree Wright said.

“I know it’s a silly photo, but it is really raw, you know? [It] shows exactly who we are and like, what our relationship is like,” she added.

Two Georgia men allegedly set off a bomb at a woman’s home and plotted to have a “python eat the victim’s daughter,” according to prosecutors.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Georgia, Stephen Glosser, 37, and Caleb Kinsey, 34, allegedly used an explosive device that blew up part of a woman’s home on Jan. 13, 2023. Authorities said that no one was injured in the explosion.

Prosecutors argued that the pair used their cell phones to “create a plan to kill, intimidate, harass, or injure the victim” by terrorizing her.

Their sordid plans included their intent to, “shooting arrows into the victim’s front door, acquiring and releasing a large python into the victim’s home to eat the victim’s daughter, mailing dog feces or dead rats to the victim’s home, scalping the victim, and blowing up the victim’s home.”

Prosecutors said that Glosser met the victim earlier on a dating app, but the relationship did not materialize.

Authorities said that between December 2022 to January 2023, Glosser and Kinsey used electronic communications to stalk the victim “with the intent to kill, injure, harass, or intimidate.”

The indictment alleged that Glosser and Kinsey located the victim’s home using internet searches, mapped out a path to the victim’s residence and then built an explosive device.

Authorities said that the pair built the explosive bomb that Kinsey purchased online.

The indictment alleges that on Jan. 13, 2023, Glosser and Kinsey then “used a destructive device to blow up the victim’s home.”

Authorities said that Glosser, and Kinsey were charged with stalking; use of an explosive to commit another felony offense; conspiracy to use an explosive to commit a felony; and possession of an unregistered destructive device. 

Kinsey was also charged with making false statements during the purchase of a firearm, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

A Kobe Bryant statue outside of the Crypto.com Arena was found to have multiple errors on it, which the Los Angeles Lakers said should be “corrected soon.”

The names of former NBA players Jose Calderon and Von Wafer were misspelled in the box score portion of the statue, which honored Bryant’s 81-point performance against the Toronto Raptors in January 2006. The phrase “coach’s decision” is also misspelled on the statue.

“We have been aware of this for a few weeks and are already working to get it corrected soon,” the team said.

There are also minor formatting issues in another spot on the base of the 19-foot statue.

The statue is the first of three renderings that will stand outside the arena, according to Vanessa Bryant. The Lakers unveiled the first statue on Feb. 8 to honor the late Lakers legend who died along with his daughter Gianna and seven others in a helicopter crash in January 2020.

Bryant played his entire career with the Lakers. He was an 18-time All-Star, four-time NBA champion and the 2008 NBA MVP.

FIRST ON FOX: The North Carolina Republican congressional delegation says it is “frustrated” by what it describes as a lack of transparency regarding the opening of a migrant facility in the state, arguing that they have been unable to get information about its operations.

The lawmakers say in a letter to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra that they were told on March 1 that the Greensboro Influx Care Facility, where unaccompanied minors will be housed before being transferred into the care of a sponsor, will be operational on March 15. The letter is led by Rep. Richard Hudson, R-N.C., and also includes the signatures of other North Carolina Republicans, including Sen. Thom Tillis, Rep. Virginia Foxx and Sen. Ted Budd.

Unaccompanied children are typically moved from Border Patrol custody to HHS care when they are encountered at the southern border as they are moved through the country to be put into the care of sponsors.

“Our offices were notified late afternoon on Friday, March 1, 2024, despite repeated, outstanding requests for answers about plans for operationalizing the facility,” they write. “We are frustrated by this sudden announcement and the [HHS] lack of transparency to Congress and the State of North Carolina related to this issue.”

They say they have requested information regarding site selection, contracts, services and plans to ensure the well-being of the minors, as well as the impact on surrounding areas. 

Fox reported in 2022 that the administration had signed a five-year contract to begin leasing the site – an abandoned school. City officials at the time said the site was “about doing the right thing for these children.”

But the lawmakers say there has been a lack of transparency in response to their queries.

“While we have continued to push for information about this facility, we have consistently faced significant delays in responses to our inquiries,” they say.

“This delay and lack of transparency have left us with continued concerns about whether the facility is fit for operation,” they go on to say, adding that one concern is that the facility is being operationalized even while changing who contracts for services.

Fox 8 reported that officials have said children will not immediately be housed there, despite it being operational. It reported that HHS has previously told officials in 2022 that arrivals will be given assessments, medical exams, daily education, counseling, case management, contact with family members and access to legal services. Fox News Digital reached out to HHS on the matter.

The lawmakers’ letter comes amid furious debate over the three-year crisis at the southern border. The administration has said it needs more funding and comprehensive immigration reform from Congress, including a recent bipartisan Senate bill. Republicans have said it is the administration’s policies that have increased the number of migrants being encountered at the border.

“It is unacceptable that the Biden administration’s failed immigration policies have resulted in a humanitarian crisis for migrants and the need for an ICF at all. We are particularly concerned about the need for a facility 2,000 miles away from the border in North Carolina,” they say, calling on the administration to “take action to secure our border and address the crisis of unaccompanied minor migration with real solutions.”
