‘Absolutely absurd!’ Guess where Rep. Elijah Cummings puts the blame for Secret Service scandal

This morning on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Rep. Elijah Cummings waxed poetic about getting to the bottom of the current Secret Service scandal.

On @FaceTheNation Now: The #secretservice has a culture of complacency. Morale is down. And this series of events should alarm all Americans

— Elijah E. Cummings (@RepCummings) October 5, 2014

Now on @FaceTheNation: We seem to have a #Secret Service that doesn't even trust itself.

— Elijah E. Cummings (@RepCummings) October 5, 2014

Now on @FaceTheNation: This is a transformational moment. We've got to look at the #SecretService top to bottom, and figure this out.

— Elijah E. Cummings (@RepCummings) October 5, 2014

Then he reached his ultimate point:  Bush’s fault!

Now on @FaceTheNation: The problems we're talking about now go all the way back to the Bush administration, they didn't start with Obama.

— Elijah E. Cummings (@RepCummings) October 5, 2014

Now on @FaceTheNation: This goes back a ways, but information has just come out. #SecretService

Blaming Bush is one thing; fooling the American public is something else. Fortunately, Cummings’ attempt at doing that did not go unnoticed.

@RepCummings @FaceTheNation Nice try
