Mom Has Perfect Response To A Man Who Asked Her To Cover Up While Breastfeeding
Moms who are able to breastfeed face all kinds of backlash in public.
Despite laws in many places protecting women who breastfeed, people can be downright rude and sometimes even try to kick these moms out or make them sit in a closet or bathroom. It happens so often, and it’s always wrong.
Some moms, however, are deciding that they’ve had enough and they’re fighting back — with words, of course. One mom recently had a comeback so great that I’m sure others will be using it for years to come.
Avery Lane is a new mom living on a military base with her husband. She was at an H & R Block on the base when the manager saw her breastfeeding her two-month-old son. The manager said she should cover up.
Not one to take such a request laying down, Lane says she was shocked and said, “No but I have a muslin if you would like to cover your face. You must not know Georgia’s breastfeeding laws.” You go girl!
Amazingly, the manager didn’t love her answer as much as I did. He asked her to leave. That’s when this momma invoked her rights and had the military police tell the manager that the law was on her side. Check out the full story in her words.
