While Breitbart.com vets Obama, lapdog media report on Al Gore’s girlfriend

Dear Huffington Post: I'm not interested in Al Gore's new girlfriend… it's not news.

Think the lapdog media should spend more time vetting Obama and less time dishing on who’s releasing Al Gore’s chakras these days? Well, that’s just too darn bad.

[T]hings seem to have worked out for Al Gore. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former VP has a serious girlfriend, we’ve learned.

Her name is Elizabeth Keadle — better known as Liz — a well-heeled Democratic donor from Southern California in her 50s with a background in science and a devotion to environmental causes.

Seriously, WaPo? All out of poorly sourced stories about Mitt Romney’s teenage years? No rocks left unturned on a Texas ranch?

Meanwhile, the Washington Post website has just two sneering mentions of Breitbart.com’s bombshell report on the latest evidence that Obama’s biography evolves to fit the moment. Those brief references are near the end of link roundups by Greg Sargent and Erik Wemple.

Here’s how the New York Times reported on the Breitbart.com story:

Other Democrat lapdogs are pushing the absurd meme that exposing inconsistencies in how the president portrays himself are proof of widespread birtherism.

Lapdog media: Shut up, racist birthers. Al Gore totes has a new gal who hearts the environment! Squee!

Conservative new media: Americans deserve answers about why the president repeatedly promotes fictional accounts his past.

Thanks, WaPo, for illustrating the indispensability of conservative new media once again.
