George Zimmerman charged with 2nd degree murder
The charges against Zimmerman were officially announced tonight during a press conference given by Special Prosecutor Angela Corey.
(You can read the full charging documents here.)
Corey had a difficult time containing her excitement:
Angela Corey needs to wipe that smile off her face.

Why is Angela Corey smiling? Very smug. #TrayvonMartin

Angela Corey is such a southern belle. It kills me every time I see her talk. She's so happily malicious. I don't know. Can't explain.

I NEED ANGELA COREY TO HAVE A MORE SERIOUS EXPRESSION ON HER FACE FOR THIS PRESS CONFERENCE….
— Ms INGRID B Miami (@MsIngridB) April 11, 2012
Corey says she believes Zimmerman has obtained new legal counsel. His previous team quit yesterday.

As for the substance of the conference:

This special prosecutor, Angela Corey, starting off the presser on the wrong foot, showing a bias towards the Martin family. #mistrial

Prediction: we're all about to get nostalgic for the staid courthouse decorum of Lance Ito.

My prayers are with Trayvon's family. This tragedy is beyond words & I pray they are receiving great counsel from those w/GENUINE interest.

This case with Zimmerman is crucial! I urge ppl to leave this in God's hands & not take justice upon ourselves for Trayvon's family sake
— KingHumble Drake (@HumbleDrake31) April 11, 2012
Zimmerman should get a fair trial. But will he face a jury? If so, he's toast! The press has already made him out to be guilty.
— Andre Garrigo (@andre3k1) April 11, 2012
And, of course, the inevitable rejoicing at the prospect of Zimmerman’s injury and/or murder:
Now That Zimmerman In Prison , I Hope Them Inmates Stick A Pack Of Skittles And Arizona Tea Up Ya Ass!!
