Cher pays too little tax, wants to give back her Social Security

Is there anyone who believes he or she is paying exactly the right amount of taxes? Take the entertainment world, for example. Kirstie Alley and Jon Lovitz want to know why they’re paying half of their income or more in taxes, while Eva Longoria and now Cher are complaining that they want to pay more.

@cher @edshow do you just never sign up for it? I wonder what happens to the $$$ that is not claimed by people in your situation?

That’s right: Cher will give back her Social Security if the government can promise the money will go straight back into that lockbox where it belongs. Not that she needed to ask — of course the government would never dip into the Social Security Trust Fund. Of course, if she’s desperate to give away money, there’s always charity. Mitt Romney could suggest a few.
