‘Celebrity Rehab’ alum Tawny Kitaen: Mindy McCready’s death ‘is not Dr. Drew’s fault’

Tawny Kitaen appeared on season two of “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” On Tuesday night, she used Twitter as a platform to defend Dr. Drew from widespread accusations that he shares responsibility for the apparent suicide death of country singer and season three “Celebrity Rehab” patient Mindy McCready.
Kitaen, who has struggled with substance abuse for years, also took the opportunity to share her opinion that drug addiction and alcoholism are not diseases.
