Brandon Darby accused of SWAT-ting by Brett Kimberlin crony!/ali/status/220182289030717440

Neal Rauhauser has falsely accused writer and political activist Brandon Darby of carrying out SWAT-ting attacks on bloggers. Rauhauser is … wait for it … an employee of political terrorist Brett Kimberlin.

Kimberlin and company, looks like you could use some disinfecting:

Suing #BrettKimberlin's Neal. Can you hear him trying to push the delete button? Eat sunlight.

Today National Bloggers Club president Ali Akbar announced that his organization will raise money to support Brandon Darby’s efforts to clear his name and beat back this left-wing attack.

“Convicted domestic terrorist turned left-wing ideologue activist Brett Kimberlin runs two liberal non-profit organizations. His contracted employee, Neal Rauhauser, has accused one of our members of being the perpetrator of these illegal, coordinated attacks. We are standing with our members, many of whom — myself included — have been targeted by supporters of Brett Kimberlin,” said National Bloggers Club President Ali A. Akbar.

Akbar continued, “Darby is being defamed by this dangerous, bizarre fringe activist because he has dared to speak the name “Brett Kimberlin,” is a member of the National Bloggers Club, and associated with Andrew. Andrew associated himself with the Bloggers Club, I’ll associate the Club with Darby any day of the week.”

And FTR, after talking with 8+ lawyers yesterday, it's clear Neal broke the law and @brandondarby has a case. #brettkimberlin

We're supporting @BrandonDarby and HIS lawyers. Right now, we're in the exploratory phase, gathering evidence for a hopeful suit.

— Ali A. Akbar (@ali) July 3, 2012

This won't be the first lawsuit #BrettKimberlin's thugs face over these next weeks. It's all offense now. Sunlight + law = cure.

— Ali A. Akbar (@ali) July 3, 2012

There won't be one victim that we let go without support. Not one. Standing w/ @RSMcCain, then @AaronWorthing, now @brandondarby has been A+

— Ali A. Akbar (@ali) July 3, 2012

I can't talk higher about these two guys and how transparent they've made themselves and their lawyers to us: @brandondarby @AaronWorthing

— Ali A. Akbar (@ali) July 3, 2012

I hope #BrettKimberlin can't wait to find out who the SWATTER is. @brandondarby's legal options will be able to explore that!

Rauhauser’s allegations against Darby are strikingly similar to the “accuse the accuser” strategy Patterico and Stacy McCain have written about. More from McCain’s recent interview with Darby.

5. Recently, some people have actually tried to claim that you were responsible for SWATtings. What is that all about? Why you?

Let’s be clear: By some, you mean the Kimberlin/Rauhauser network and another network who is directly tied to them from Florida, the Matt Edelstein/Matt Osborne network.

The issue seems clear to me. Some parts of this network never intended to receive this much attention. Now they are realizing they are likely going to face justice and get caught. It seems they are now engaging in a preemptive defense strategy where they are making public allegations focusing on someone connected to the FBI, so that when they get busted they can claim that they were close to “uncovering the truth” and their charges are nothing more than political retribution from the FBI or an effort from the FBI to silence them for “getting too close” to the truth.

After the National Bloggers Club announcement, Kimberlin wannabe Brooks Bayne continued his unhinged attacks on Darby.

But conservatives began tweeting their support immediately.

I support @brandondarby. I also support @stranahan and @Liberty_Chick. #TeamBreitbart

.@brandondarby is a good man. After AB died he called me to check up on me. A few weeks later he called to check in. He's wonderful.

— Mary Chastain (@mchastain81) July 3, 2012

@brandondarby is under attack. Let's expose his attackers with a blast of truth!

@ali i can only agree with the praise given to one of the people in that last tweet, i.e. @brandondarby
